Asymmetric Thinking

Thinking is using thought or rational judgment. It’s the process of using one’s mind to consider or reason about something. According to  Merriam Webster, it’s the action of using your mind to produce ideas, decisions, memories.

Asymmetric means imbalance, uneven, or unequal. To understand asymmetric, think of symmetric. Symmetrical means equality, even, or balance when comparing things. Asymmetrical, then, means the opposite: unequal, uneven, and imbalanced. Asymmetry is when the parts don’t match or aren’t compared the same.

Asymmetric thinking, then, is inequitable or imbalanced thought and judgment to study and analyze something. It is “thinking outside the box”. Asymmetric thinking isn’t the typical way of thinking of things. Asymmetric thinking is independent thinking. It’s non traditional, it’s an alterative way of thinking and viewing things.
