Asymmetric Drawdown
What is an asymmetric drawdown?
Asymmetric is inequality or lack of symmetry, imbalance, more of one, less of another.
Drawdown is a high-to-low decline in the price trend or value of an investment, fund, or portfolio,
Asymmetric Drawdown is a decline in the trend that is an outlier, or convex, because the move is increasing, exponential, or more than expected.
For example, a drawdown may be -10%, but we may call a comparable drawdown of -20% an asymmetric drawdown.
